Great Friend

The school holidays are here and that means the kids are off school for two weeks and then hubby decides he’ll take a week off too so needless to say I didnt think I’d get much done this week!

Well we’ve managed to rearrange two rooms in an effort to get everything I need for my Stampin’ Up! creations and  business into one room – well we have done it and most of the things have found a place and no doubt I will rearrange the spots till I’m happy with everything and then no doubt I’ll want to rearrange again!

saffronfriendI wanted to share with you today a card I cased from the very lovely Patty Bennett.

She shared a card she was making for her Stamp A Stack’s this month and I just had to case it and use our new Great Friend set from the upcoming Spring Mini Catalogue.

Recipe:

Stamps: Great Friend, You and Moi
Cardstock: Basic Grey, So Saffron, Whisper White
DSP: Walk in the Park (Spring Mini Catalogue)
Ink: Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, Stampin Dimensionals, Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon

This is such an easy and elegant card and one that is very quick and simple to put together.saffronfriendflat

Its made a little different to my normal cards as the ‘base’ card is just a piece of A6 Basic Gray Cardstock. The So Saffron layer is actually the part that opens – so just a little different to the regular card.

Here’s a photo of the card flat so you can see the Basic Gray behind the So Saffron.

A very quick and simple card and perfect for a Stamp A Stack.

Thanks to Patty for the inspiration!
